Waxahachie ISD Elementary School #10, located in the Saddlebrook neighborhood, proudly bears the name of Jimmie Ray, recognizing his exemplary dedication to education and public service. Mr. Ray’s 38-year career with Waxahachie ISD is marked by impactful roles, including Teacher and Coach at both Turner High School and Waxahachie High School, Assistant Principal at WHS, Principal at Northside Elementary, Home Bound Liaison, and Attendance Officer.
Beyond his commitment to the school district, Jimmie Ray extended his service to the broader community as Ellis County Constable for Precinct 3, beginning his tenure in 2004 and serving for over 11 years. His leadership and unwavering devotion have left an indelible mark on Waxahachie ISD and Ellis County alike.
